Peter Allan
Peter earned his Masters in Physiotherapy in 2013, having already completed a Bachelors in Sports and Exercise Science. Upon graduating, Peter worked in both the public and private sectors in Scotland, gaining experience with an array of neurological, orthopaedic and musculoskeletal conditions.
Peter moved to Melbourne in 2016 and has been working in private practice ever since. He has also been providing weekly clinics with a local football team. Sport, whether playing or working, has always been a passion. Peter has spent time working with a championship football team in England, as well as working with and playing for a number of rugby club’s in Scotland. Postural education, exercise and progressive strengthening form the basis of Peter’s treatment style, and this can be applied to all clientele and presenting conditions.
Peter’s primary interests include treating acute symptoms and assessing the biomechanical and strength imbalances causing low back pain, neck pain, sporting injuries and shoulder pathologies.
Peter enjoys leading classes and using pilates style exercises as part of his one on one sessions. He allows clients to take ownership of their rehabilitation, being pro-active, rather than re-active
Outside of the clinic, Peter is enjoying life in Australia and is trying to see as much of the country as possible. He has a keen interest in all sport and whether rightly or wrongly, has become a Saints fan!
